Let’s talk about feelings...⁣⁣⁣

Did you know that teaching your kids about emotions is one of the first steps to enhance their emotional intelligence?⁣⁣⁣

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is a huge predictor of future success in children and adults. After all, who wouldn’t want more confident, secure, and resilient kids? ⁣⁣⁣

To sum it up there are 5 components: ⁣⁣⁣

1. Recognize your own emotions. ⁣⁣⁣

2. Learn to manage the emotions you have. ⁣⁣⁣

3. Recognize emotions in others. ⁣⁣⁣

4. Learn, practice, and maintain how to manage relationships with others. ⁣⁣⁣

5. Have goals, insight and the motivation to achieve those goals. ⁣⁣⁣

_____⁣⁣

There are many ways to teach children to recognize their own emotions: ⁣⁣⁣read, model, and talk about them! ⁣⁣⁣

One creative way to introduce emotions to young children is by using feelings finger puppets. ⁣⁣⁣

Who am I kidding, this is helpful for adults too! ⁣⁣⁣
