Lessons From a Child

Have you ever felt stuck in a situation and your child pipes up saying the most profound thing? You might wonder, “why didn’t I think of that?” I’d like to believe that I’m one of the best teachers for my children but so often they are the ones teaching me. I also find their lessons tend to be the ones that stick with me the most. Perhaps it is because of their simplicity, the innocent wonder and the genuine emotion behind it all.

 
 

Chew it before you decide

This video demonstrates a way to introduce new foods to your children while applying the same concept to our thoughts. Check your thoughts for “All or Nothing” thinking. Before making harsh judgments about someone or something, chew on it first. Then decide whether or not you like it. Decide if it is a thought to swallow or to spit out.
