Why Feature Children's Books?

Books are a big deal in our home. Whether we are scouring the library or adding another to our wishlist, we get excited over children’s books with a big message. I dedicated this website page to feature certain ones that work to enhance characters.

Time spent reading helps engage the frontal lobe, increases emotional intelligence, and assists children in potential trouble areas. I can’t tell you how much I love referring to a character from a story when reminding my children to correct their new, unwelcome behavior. “Girls, let’s not argue about who goes first. Remember what happened to Wolf when he wanted to be first?” Not to mention, books bring everyone together for some much needed, invaluable quality time. I’ve added processing questions to facilitate more discussion and create rich conversation while highlighting the moral lesson.

Let’s get reading!
